She is the mother of the Mithraic community. She is intelligent and wise. She is partner to Mithras and together they lead the Mithraic community.

Anhita is the goddess of life, the mother goddess who nurtures and protects life. She is a goddess of purity, for out of purity comes life without blemishes. Like a vigorous mountain stream she provides the undefiled waters that sustain living things. As our heavenly mother she provides what we need to flourish and like a mother bear she defends us against predators and all that may harm us.

Anhita is partner to Mithras, the fully developed adult man who struggles against evil to bring good order in service to all mankind. She and Mithras work together in perfect union for the good of the soul of the world.
