"Serving God inspired by the teachings of Zartus"
|
Zartian MithraismZartian Mithraism is the main religious form of Zartianism or neo-Zoroastrianism, which seeks to encourage people to be good servants of the living world, inspired especially by the teachings of Zarathustra. While grounded in Zoroastrian ideas, Zartian Mithraism is also influenced by both European paganism and Christianity. TriadThe Zartomithraic Triad points us towards the good. The Triad is Mazda, Asha and Thalia. Mazda is the Active Wisdom which produces Asha or Good Order, which in turn leads to Thalia or flourishing.Prosopa KosmikaAt the centre of Zartian Mithraism are the seven Prosopa Kosmika, or 'persons' who are responsible for order and disorder. They are Mithras, Anhita, Magtus, Chrestus, Azidus, Spentamanus and Angramanus. Three of the Prosopa Kosmika loosely correspond to the three persons of the Abramochristian Holy Trinity : Mithras the Heavenly Father, Chrestus the Good Son and Spentamanus the Holy Spirit. However among the Kosmikoi are also Anhita the Heavenly Mother, Magtus the Mighty One, Azidus the Greedy and Angramanus the Evil Spirit. Anhita also has a parallel in Catholic teaching at least with the Virgin Mary and Angramanus with the Devil. The inclusion of Magtus however marks a distinct difference between Mithraism and traditional Christianity. Magtus the Mighty One has ancient roots but has been most promoted in modern times by the writings of Nietzsche. Why Zartian Mithraism? We believe that modern people need a good religion to help them navigate the times they live in. Many are not satisfied by the well-known offerings and are open to considering alternatives. We believe that Zartian Mithraism will provide some people something a little different and a little better than they can get elsewhere.updated Jan 4026 ZHE
